Pieter de la Rey

Pieter graduated from North Island College in Courtenay in 2014 before completing his CPA designation in 2019. After articling with a midsize firm in Vancouver, he joined CNB in 2020, bringing a strong technical foundation and a practical approach to working with clients across Vancouver Island.

Pieter works closely with individuals, corporations, municipalities, and not-for-profit organizations. His practice includes corporate reorganizations, tax minimization strategies, and audit and review engagements, with a focus on providing clear, thoughtful guidance tailored to each client’s goals. He is also completing CPA Canada’s three-year In-Depth Tax Program, further strengthening his ability to support clients with complex tax matters.

Pieter understands the importance of giving back to the community and currently serves as volunteer Treasurer on the Board of the Comox Valley Healthcare Foundation. He has also contributed his time as both head coach and assistant coach for the Vanier and Highland senior boys volleyball teams.

Outside of the office, Pieter can often be found on the golf course or spending time with his wife, Chelsey, and their two dogs, Willow and Oakley.

Pieter’s technical excellence, community involvement, and practical client service continues to shape the relationships he builds with clients, colleagues, and the broader community.
